Wooly Bully

Today my daughter discovered "Wooly Bully," and a giggle fit ensued. She hadn't heard the song, but the sheer silliness of the phrase had her in stitches. Being the good dad that I am, I tried to find her a video on youtube, figuring it had been performed on Ed Sullivan or something. This is what I came across:

I knew Sam the Sham & the Pharaohs had some sexist, albeit clever, lyrics in their other bit hit, "Lil Red Riding Hood," I had no idea they performed in such stereotypical get-ups. I'm sure their outfits weren't seen as insensitive or racist at the time, but they should would be now. Sam really is a bit of a sham.
